Elephant Pedicure

Chitwan National Park (Nepal) elephant pedicure. Of course, this is done not for the sake of aesthetic beauty, but only in order to clear the horny covers (they are very well visible on the first photo), which collects a lot of parasites, to remove multiple corns and calluses. Incidentally, in the same horn channels in domesticated elephants may wind up, and mice that feed on it these parasites, thus causing the elephants discomfort. And more than anything is the largest land animal on our planet is afraid of young mice, at the sight of which simply falls into a frenzy, trampling everything, just to quickly knock down his little "enemy." Here's a cause and origins of multiple stories and parables concerning elephants and mice:)
